Cheap. 1080p screen. SD card. Widescreen. AC wifi for syncing my videos. For a Media consumption device only this is going to be perfect. I just hope the screen quality (glare, color depth, contrast, sharpness, etc) holds up.
I actually sold my 2013 HDX a while back because I thought I wanted google play access on it as well as the fact that it was not getting FireOS upgrades anymore. But I realized I don't really care about any of that. I just want a video watching device with maybe occasionally browsing.

They're not the greatest tablets in the world, but they're inexpensive and the sd card slot gives you tons of storage space. Perfect for comics, back issues of magazines, etc.
